OUR STORY
We opened our doors as a residential home in 1988. Previously a bread and breakfast establishment, our proprietors Austen and Marie Harrity soon saw the need and potential for a care home specialising in mental health support, rehabilitation and assisted living.
Our residents were initially persons requiring support into relearning tools necessary to living independently again, post psychiatric placement. Over time however many of the residents saw us as their home and chose to stay with us.
Over the years we have developed into a home which is able to cater for people with a variety of physical and mobility issues too. We have 8 ground floor rooms and ground floor toileting and showering facilities to cater for people which such needs.
In 1992 our Registered Manager Tony Mckernan joined us and despite leaving us for 5 years in between, he has been with us ever since. In 2015 Natalie Worfolk was appointed Assistant Manager.
